Reference Questions, 8/29/2012

[6-8 pm shift] It's my first night working the desk for the fall semester. Let's see how it goes.

1. (Email) Wanted to know how much memory his H drive had
2. (Email) Was trying to access the Wellesley Index, and we do not have access to it.
3. Book she was looking for wasn't on the shelves (it was checked out)
4. Looking for the book Finch Effect by Nacie Carson; we didn't have it
5. Having trouble getting on D2L. She was double clicking on the icon which was causing the error message. When she clicked on it once it went there no problem.
6. Couldn't print a syllabus. The syllabus loaded in protected  mode and he needed to click on the enable printing button before he could print it.
7. Needed help with the scanner; wanted to know how to print something she had scanned.
8. Having trouble printing; he said the printer was only printing out odd pages. His printout was double sided and he didn't realize it.
9. Looking for the Stephen King novel 11/22/63; it's checked out
10. Looking for reserves
11. Wanted to print from his laptop
12. Looking for a stapler remover
13. Needed help printing from D2L; had to look for the gray bar at the bottom of the PDF file. Was trying to print with the print icon in the tool bar and it wasn't working.
14. Looking for the way out of the library
15. Wanted to know how much printing cost and if he had to pay me for it

It's been a busy night!
